Somasix Refrigerator Magnets for Kids!

First off, my apologies for the stock photo. I was under the gun to get the review turned in on time and forgot to take pictures of them on the fridge. I'll swap out the picture in the next day or two.

I had something similar to this when I was growing up and I wanted to get them for my son. Before I went online looking, I found some of them at the local dollar stores but they were just a poor quality. I'm not trying to rip the dollar stores, it's just that the magnets they had were the cardboard thin ones and probably 1/2-3/4 the size of these. For my 3 year old son, they were not easy to grab and were quickly scrapped. I hopped online, compared some prices vs what you get and opted for these. In my opinion, the $20 price point (at time of writing) is a little high. I personally would like to see it closer to $15. But I'll be honest, the quality is good, you get plenty of magnets, and my son has been learning from them so I'm not too upset about it.

When you get them out of the box, you'll notice they're made of a quality plastic that neither feels brittle or flexible. It's sturdy and well molded. The magnets are small, but that's what I expect with a lightweight product. They cling well to our refrigerator but can be removed easily by my son. He has no problem taking them off, rearranging them, and putting them back on.

I've found them to be quite useful in teaching him his alphabet. He's never had trouble with his numbers so they're really just an added bonus for us. As far the the alphabet goes, my fiance and I put the letters in order on the fridge then we go through the alphabet song with him and point to each letter. His ability to recognize and recite each letter has increased tremendously since we've had these. 

Overall, these have been a great addition to our refrigerator. They're colorful and they catch your eye, they are sturdy, and they can be easily moved by small fingers. I'm very happy to be able to use these to help teach my son. I also like leaving messages with them for my fiance! Although I received this product in exchange for an honest review, all opinions expressed are my own and reflect my personal experience with this product.
