The first thing that I always hear from people when they see me drinking a protein shake is, "how can you drink that stuff?" Well, it's not always easy. However, this particular protein shake isn't anything like the others I've tried. I was shocked at how smoothly this mixed in to the milk I used. More than anything I felt that this shake tasted like melted strawberry ice cream...jackpot!
A single serving nets you 22g of whey protein, 130 calories, 2g of fat, 7g of sugar (sucralose, ugh), and 25% of your daily recommended calcium. Additionally, it has a host of BCAA's and enzymes to really help beef this product up. What stuck out to me as being a negative was the use of sucralose as a sweetener and red dye #40. Beyond that, the ingredients are pretty solid.
Overall, this is a great tasting protein powder that helps deliver some outstanding results. I've only been using it for about two weeks, but I can already see an increase in muscle mass and an enhanced recovery time after a workout.

I've given my dog (Roscoe) a good handful of baths since we got him about two months ago. Each time we used the same shampoo and I never really thought anything more about it. It took a good while to rinse him out but he always came out pretty good...I thought. After using this shampoo, I can really tell what I've been missing.
Compared to others, this shampoo lathers up a bit better and it rinses out substantially faster. It used to take me half of my time bathing him just to rinse him out. Now, it seems like I'm getting done in a fraction of the time. His fur feels softer and his white patches stand out much more. On top of all this, it has a nice floral smell that doesn't seem like it's chemical laden. Oh yeah, this shampoo is based on natural ingredients and it's biodegradable so I'm definitely a fan.
Overall, this is a really nice shampoo and I'll certainly be sticking with it. The decreased rinse time alone makes it stand out above the crowd!

This thing is smaller than my phone!! The first time I tried this I had a couple friends over to have a campfire, drink some beer, and watch a movie outside. They were blown away with the size and I was entirely happy with the projector. Although it has the built in battery I kept this plugged in to a power source because the last thing we want is for the projector to shut off at a good part. The sound quality is what you'd expect from something this size...not good. However, the audio out port allowed me to connect an external set of speakers which really made it a non-issue.
We started out playing some Gears of War from an Xbox One using the HDMI connection. While the image was a little dark, a few tweaks to the in-game settings made it substantially better. After the gaming session, we streamed some TV shows from Netflix and it was very enjoyable. After that, I used a USB device (formatted in NTFS file format) and was able to use navigate with the included remote to the USB menu on the projector and the file loaded right up!
I have an iPhone and can do AirPlay, but since I prefer to run my media directly I can't tell you how well or not so well that portion works. However, I've seen videos of others using it and it seems to work just fine.
Overall, this thing is entirely too cool! I love being able to do outdoor movies with very little needed from me!
For all the time I've spent up at my brother's house or at my grandparents, this thing would've been very useful. A lot of times we will be up there looking in the fields for deer but we always have rather large binoculars that can get pretty cumbersome pretty quickly. While this may not have the massive range that those binoculars have, this is much lighter and more manageable so I can use it for longer periods of time.
The monocular itself feels pretty sturdy and doesn't feel like cheap components were used. The image is very clear and the ability to adjust it for more clarity really helps to sell this product. The included pouch with belt strap and the cleaning rag allow you to protect your device and keep it cleaning and functioning properly for a long time. If you plan on taking this hunting or on hikes through the wilderness, it has a built in compass to really help you stay on track. Additionally, there is a tripod mount that will let you go a bit more hands free while you use this.
Overall, this is a nice addition to any survivalist/hunting/outdoorsman type of equipment. It seems well built and comes with the things needed to keep it in good working order.

I have a handful of wireless network cameras at this point but I think this one has the clearest image (for something under $150) so far. It looks pretty neat too...like it's some sort of alien pod or something. It works well in day or night settings and produces a pretty clear image as well. The app was easy to operate (tested on iOS, no experience with it on Android) and setting it up was pretty straight forward. I recommend setting it up over a wired connection the first time as that was significantly easier to do and quicker compared to the wireless side.
I didn't mention this in my video but the one draw back associated with this camera is the inability to establish preset positions. In most of the other cameras I have I am able to assign about 9 different preset positions so I can just tap 1 or 7 or 3 and it goes to that position without me needing to swipe 9 times to get there. I wish this product had that but it's not enough to warrant the deduction of any stars.
Overall, this is a great camera that I would recommend for parents who have little ones they want to keep an eye on or if you just need one camera to keep an eye on your house while you're away. Either way, this camera is definitely high quality and a welcome addition to my home security set up.

Talk about a sturdy backpack...this thing is made for the long haul. That's a bad hiking joke. Aaaanyway, the first thing you'll notice with this backpack is how incredibly well made it is. The stitching would make my grandmother proud and the big bulky zippers mean you'll have more time to hike and less time trying to un-wedge a zipper when it gets stuck...cause this one probably won't. The backpack material itself is very strong and leaves me confident that it won't tear or rip for a long LONG time.
Not only is it incredibly well constructed, it has a lot of room too. As you can see in my video i have a boatload of stuff in there with plenty of room to spare. With all that space and all the weight you'll probably be carrying, you'll be happy that this backpack has a system of padding that allows for comfortable carrying and allows for proper airflow to keep your back from getting really sweaty.
Overall, this backpack is a home run. It's well made, it has lots of room, and it also has the molle system for expansion in the future. If you're looking for something that will last years, look no further than this.

I'm not an art connoisseur and I don't consider myself fancy enough to have much beyond primitive and country decorations in our home, but I was really drawn to this painting. Not only is it a beautiful canvas oil painting of a maple tree, it has a secret super power: it has a night mode! Basically, it has this eerie glow to it that sets up this sort of haunting night scene. Unfortunately, I didn't think mine was nearly as apparent at night compared to what the stock photo looks like even though I did let it "charge" under light for about 2-3 hours. I'm not sure if the sun would make a noticeable difference, but I intend to find out soon enough.

The canvas itself is a better than average quality and the whole painting can really bring an entire room together. The colors are vibrant and the image makes me wonder if this tree has a story. That might sound kind of dumb...but I guess I look at it and just think. Overall, this is a really nice painting but I'm just a little disappointed that the picture doesn't glow as well as I had hoped.

If you're a prepper, love military food, or just want to be prepared for emergencies then you should check out the shelf-stable food line up by Bridgford. This honey barbecued chicken sandwich tastes reasonable and would definitely be a welcome treat in an emergency situation. The breading was fluffy but the filling was a little lacking. Not in flavor, but in actual capacity. It's obviously not the most flavorful thing in the world, but when you know it'll last 3 years on a shelf, you shouldn't be complaining too much anyway.
Overall, this will definitely get you out of a bad situation when food is scarce. The flavors are pretty reasonable and just the one sandwich felt pretty filling.

I have never felt so classy in my entire life! I currently have my barrel filled with Johnnie Walker Black Label (even though it's been aged 12 years already) simply because it's just so cool to be able to offer guests a bit of whiskey right out of this tiny barrel. The barrel is well crafted and feels rather solid all around. Nothing is loose or wobbly and I haven't seen a single leak so I can vouch for how well it functions!
There are really only two things I would like to see altered in future releases. The first is some way to fasten the stand to the barrel. Don't get me wrong, this set up is largely secure once you have the barrel filled, but accidents do happen and they could be mitigated by some form of clip or something else that would fasten the stand to the barrel. The other alteration I'd like to see is the inclusion of some form of funnel. After I got this in the mail, I had to turn to the store and buy a little funnel because I didn't want to risk spilling my whiskey. Neither of these are a big problem and don't warrant a reduction in my rating of the product.
Overall, this is a really cool way to store/age your alcohol and it will definitely be a conversation piece when your guests see it. It is well crafted, it looks neat, and it performs its function well!

WOW! I've never been able to smell candles that are wrapped in cellophane and in a cardboard box before. These are strong, but in a good way! They're not overpowering, they've never given me a headache...but I keep one under the seat of my car just because they smell so good and they don't even need to burn. These are easily one of the best smelling candles I've come across in my life. I'm sort of a Yankee Candle junkie, but I think I just found my new guilty pleasure. I haven't done enough research to know for sure, but I'd love it if they sold these candles in a large jar size.
The only thing that disappointed me about these candles is the that they didn't come with any sort of plastic or thin metal enclosure around them. The first one I burnt melted into a puddle within 30 minutes. Luckily I had it in something that caught most of the wax. I tried a few different enclosures but haven't been able to nail down the perfect housing yet. But to be completely honest, it doesn't even bother me. These smell so good that they could burn out in 5 minutes and I wouldn't even be a little upset.
I feel like such a dork for getting so pumped up about candles, but I can't recommend these enough. I love the smell so much and wish I could have it with me all the time. I absolutely love these!

I really had high hopes for this knife as it looks really clean and classic. Unfortunately, it leaves a lot to be desired. When I got the knife out, it sort of fell cheap right away. I get that it's only $12.50 (at time of writing) but it was absolutely dull when I got it. Sure, I can get behind needing to put a little extra edge on a knife when you get it, but this didn't even have an edge to sharpen! I was really disappointed by the dullness out of the box.
I will say that the knife does look really cool and I feel that it's weighted well. Fully extended, it's the length of the majority of my forearm. It has a smooth action, it clicks into place, it doesn't snag anywhere, and it's easy to fling it open. I love that last part...makes me feel like I'm in a movie! Upon closer inspection, I found that the screws seemed to be rounded out which made me feel like I'd be hard pressed to work on this knife if I ever needed to.
Overall, this knife didn't impress me. It was very dull, it felt like a cheap carnival knife, and I don't think it'll last long with regular use. As I mentioned above, it does have some nice qualities as well, but not enough to redeem it.

If you live an active lifestyle but you can't live without your music, you should definitely consider this. It's dust proof, waterproof, and shock proof so you can rest assured that it's built to take a beating. The sleek design is complemented by some very outstanding sound quality compared to similar models. What I found that really sets this speaker apart is the ability to mount it to a tripod or a screw-on bike mount, etc. With a similar speaker set I needed to use the included lanyard and tie it to my handlebars to bring this along. Not anymore!
The speakers were a breeze to connect to my iPhone and I would imagine an Android would be just as easy. The sound quality was much more impressive than I anticipated. Everything came through clearly and nothing sounded muted or distorted, even at the highest volume. Speaking of volume, these were pretty loud considering the small size. The on-board controls make it a breeze to play/pause/skip music and you can also use it to make phone calls as well!
Overall, this speaker is a great addition to my outdoor gear and goes with me quite a few places. It may not be a power house sound system, but for what it does it definitely does very well. It looks great, sounds great, and has so many protective features that make it ideal for an outdoor adventure.

On my first read through, I honestly felt like this was a four out of five for one reason only: it seemed too long for a kid's book. Considering that I was reading it to my four year old and being asked "is it over?" more than once, I didn't feel that was a good sign. However, we kept on going through and when we read it now, he doesn't ask at all. I think he is starting to remember the details of the story and so he's better equipped to be in it for the long haul.
The story and illustrations are both incredibly good! Captain No Beard and his crew find themselves in a few different predicaments that don't exactly go as smoothly as they could. Captain No Beard tends to do what he wants against the suggestion of his crew and this helps to show kids hows decisions have consequences. It also helps to show them that it's important to listen to those around you and to take the suggestions of others into consideration. The illustrations are beautiful and they really remind of books I read when I was a kid so it sort of delivers a warm and fuzzy feeling for me as well!
Overall, this book is really good and helps to deliver some really good life lessons that kids can look back on their entire lives. The great story and the beautiful artwork really help to paint a comprehensive picture that will allow kids to connect and get lost in the pages. Even though the first time through was difficult to keep my son's attention, each subsequent read hasn't been a problem!

A couple of questions to ask yourself before you buy this product:
1. Do I need to have any other smart-home devices to make this useful to me? - No, but additional NuBryte terminals will increase the capability of this and I think they are integrating Z-Wave devices soon. 2. Do I need an electrician to set this up? - No, if you're comfortable replacing a light switch on your wall, you'll be able to handle this. 3. How long will it take to set up? - I pulled my light switch and swapped for this one in about five minutes.
Alright, so like I said before you don't need any sort of smart home device to make this useful. All you need is a light switch you want to replace (as it will control the light just like your old switch but on steroids) and the app then you're off to a good start. You'll also need to decide if you're replacing a single or dual switch as there is a model to do each.
This is a really cool product for a variety of reasons, most of which I think I outline in my video. First and foremost, it's obviously a light switch. You tap the screen and press the on-screen button and you can turn your light on or off. If you have a dimmable bulb, this can accommodate that. Also, make sure you get the app so you can control your NuBryte system while you're away. Not only can you control the light by turning it on or off in the app, you can also enable or disable the built-in alarm and see a live video stream if the alarm system is going off. You also get an app notification if anything actually trips the alarm.
The alarm portion is easy to set up and seems similar to your typical big boy alarm system in that you get a 30/60/90 second window to activate the alarm and leave the house. The same is true for deactivation. But like I mentioned before, if you forget to do this at the terminal you an always enable/disable from the app. The alarm is rather loud but I don't think anyone outside of your home would hear it. Fortunately, it also flashes the light so your neighbors may see a visual distress signal should an emergency really happen.
Other cool features that I highlight in my video include a built in weather app that gives you detailed enough information about the current indoor and outdoor state. You also have an awesome intercom feature (that I'm not able to try with just the one terminal) that can work between all terminals in the home. This is also true with controlling all lights that are connected as well.
Overall, this is a really cool way to get your feet wet with home automation and is incredibly simple to use and very intuitive. If you own a smartphone, you can work this unit easily. All the features allow for a robust package that has great current features and possible future additions!

Every time I threw out a K-cup pod, I felt guilty. I knew the pod would go into a landfill and I knew it would sit there for years. Considering that I mainly use mine to drink tea, I decided that it it would be pretty painless for me to switch to reusable pods and to use loose-leaf tea. I'm so glad I did it because not only do I feel better about using my Keurig, I feel like my tea actually tastes better too. There was always something a little off when I used the standard pods, but this clearly seems better to me.
I really can't speak on behalf of the filter for the carafe, but I can say that the filter for the K-cup fits perfectly, it's easy to use, and it's easy to clean as well. This gave me no trouble at all and it feels like they sourced high quality components to make these. They don't feel cheap, they don't feel flimsy, they don't feel like they're going to break anytime soon.

Coming from my Logitech MX5500 Revolution wireless mouse/keyboard combo (which is not mechanical) this is such an improvement. When you get it out of the box you can immediately tell that it's a high quality product made with great components. It has quite a bit of heft to it...it's definitely heavier than I was anticipating! The design is sleek, the keys are well made, and it's an immediate conversation starter.
There are quite a few things that I really like about this keyboard. The first is how well the keys respond. They're are immediate and hard to mistake they have been pressed over the clear and audible *CLICK* with each keystroke. The lights are bright and fun to look at. Something I forgot to mention in my video is that the lights are dim-able. If you were to hold the FN key and tap the up/down arrow you'll notice they get softer or brighter. I thought this was very convenient and well thought out. There are a multitude of light based patterns for the keyboard that are shown off in my review and each one is really unique!
Overall, this keyboard has been a God send. It feels great to type on and makes me feel like I have an unfair edge over my competition because of how quickly these keys respond. The lights are great and fun to watch, but I would honestly spend the money on this keyboard without them being included.

I wouldn't call myself a tea connoisseur by any means, but I absolutely love a good glass of tea so I was very excited to try this out. I'm a guy who gravitates toward Earl Grey tea, but I'm open to experiencing new kinds. When I received this box, it came in a nice little package that had the tumble separated from another box that housed the tea. When I got the tumbler out, I was pleasantly surprised to feel the weight of it. It has obvious heft and is clearly well made. The double wall glass is basically flawless and keeps my tea piping hot for a couple hours.
The teas were all delicious! I'm still new to loose leaf tea, but so far this is the best traditional tea I've come across. I like that it's not chock full of over the top flavors or additives. This is clearly fresh and high quality tea. What I really appreciated the most was the inclusion of the teas origin along with the ideal brewing temperature of each kind.
Overall, this seems like it would be a great gift for any avid tea lover or anyone who is just starting to dabble in the various kinds of teas. This is something that I never really knew I needed until I actually got it. If you're someone who likes to bike to work and needs somewhere to store your lunchbox or if you want somewhere to put a bag or two as you go for a long bike ride, you should really consider this mount. It was easy to install (did it in under 10 minutes) and came with everything you should need minus an alan wrench or a phillips head screw driver. The mount is very sturdy and is rated to hold 110 lbs and I do not doubt that rating at all.
It has a nice little spot in the back to hold a reflector or if you're real fancy, a vanity plate with your name on it. Don't lie, you know you have one. It also has this spring-loaded arm that can help secure cargo in place. If you wanted, you could even get a bungie cord or two to help keep larger items locked down.
Overall, this was a good idea to mount to my bike. I can more easily ride to the grocery store or other places when I need to just get an item or two. Saves me from buying extra fuel so obviously I'm happy!

This is a really neat addition to any home gym or bathroom because it doesn't just tell you your weight, it tells you your BMI and can give a per-user trending data set. So you and your significant other can each have your own independent ability to track your weight and BMI progress. What really made this stand out to me was the tempered glass base and the high visibility of the LCD display. The app was easy to use and simple to set up. The measurements seem pretty accurate and consistent with showing almost no discernible variance from one weigh in to the next within an hour period. I've had scales in the past that would show a certain weight when I step on, then an hour later it's 2-3 pounds different. That hasn't been the case with this, it's been consistent throughout.
Overall, I'm please with this scale. I really like the ability to review trending data and see your progress over a given period of time. I also love the the sleek all black look with the high contrast red LCD screen. I live about 35 or 40 miles away from our local broadcast stations and non-amplified antennas weren't really cutting it for me. I was getting a few channels but they would get pixelated now and again so I decided to try this amplified one instead. After running the channel scan from my TV menu, I was up and running with about 12 channels total now! They come in high definition and most are either 720p or 1080i (depending on how it is being sent from the station of course).
The set up was a breeze. All I did was connect the coaxial cable on the antenna to the included amplifier then plug the included power cable into the wall, ran the channel scan on my TV, and I was ready to go. They include a small stand and some double sided tape as well to give you the freedom to set up this antenna how it best suits you.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this. I'd rather spend a couple bucks up front and get free local TV forever versus spending money every month in perpetuity. Considering how easy this was to set up and install, along with the quality of the image provided, I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to cut the cord!
